Howard L. Carver
From December 2002 until November 2004, Howard L. Carver served as Chairman of the International Insurance Foundation. Previously he served as Treasurer of the Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee since May 1998.

A partner of Ernst & Young, Mr. Carver has 35 years experience in management, auditing, accounting, financial reporting, and insurance and financial services operational consulting. He has assisted clients with capital raising and management, public offerings, insurance company demutualizations and GAAP conversions, start-ups, sales of companies and lines of business, dissolutions of businesses, corporate reorganizations and realignments and many other financial and operations issues. He was recently elected to the boards of directors of Phoenix National Trust Company and Fortis US and chairs the Audit Committee for both boards. He also has substantial experience as a board member, board chairman, and auditor for civic/charitable not-for-profit organizations.

A graduate of Bradley University, Mr. Carver earned an MBA degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow of the Life Management Association (FLMI).
