The U.S. Department of Commerce Office of Service Industries and Finance has responsibility for developing policy positions on international financial and monetary affairs. The office supports industry efforts to enhance the competitiveness of U.S. financial services in international trade. East-West Management Institute
East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI) is a not-for-profit organization headquartered in New York that promotes economic and legal reform in countries making the transition to a free market economy. EWMI provides advice and technical
services in enterprise restructuring, financial sector development, legal and regulatory reform and privatization. Recognizing the importance of viable civil societies in reinforcing economic and legal reform, EWMI also supports local
non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with grants, training and international networking opportunities. Through a three-year cooperative agreement with the USAID, EWMI manages the Partners for Financial Stability Program to fill remaining gaps in
the institutional development of the financial sector in Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. The substantive areas covered under the PFS Program are accounting, auditing, banking, capital markets,
insurance, and pension reform.

Institute for Global Insurance Education
The Institute for Global Insurance Education is an association comprised of independent, international insurance institutes. Currently there are 16 members from Australia, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, China, Great Britain, India, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland and USA. The mission of the IGIE is to elevate educational standards for the insurance industry by delivering professional education to insurance industry professionals. The IGIE offers assistance to interested nations developing domestic insurance education programs and evaluates national insurance education programs.

Fundacão Escola Nacional de Seguros
The National School of Insurance Foundation - FUNENSEG - was established in 1971 to instruct and train
Brazilian insurance industry and promote the institution of insurance in Brazil. With its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro and seven regional centers and five supporting offices in some states, FUNENSEG offers a series of educational programs and resources for professional qualification and specialization through course, lectures, libraries, educational materials in various forms. In addition, FUNENSEG is responsible for promoting consumer education.
It also co-sponsors the Annual Brazilian Executive Development
Seminar with the International Insurance Foundation.

Indian Institute of Management Bangalore
The Indian Institute for Management Bangalore created the Centre for Insurance Research and Education in 2000. In cooperation with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India, the CIRE-IIMB seeks to strengthen insurance and pensions activities. The center:
- Undertakes research and consultancy services
- Develops teach materials and prepares working papers
- Organizes workshops and seminars
- Conducts management development programs for practitioners
