Brazil's New Insurance Market

Seminar and Reception
September 5, 2007

Although for 60 years Brazil's insurance market has been controlled by the reinsurance monopoly, now the market is opening to private reinsurers, creating many opportunities for innovation and expansion of insurance in one of the world's largest countries. To learn the best practices of the U.S. insurance market, a delegation of 19 government officials and insurance executives is coming to Philadelphia the first week in September for a Seminar organized by the International Insurance Foundation. You are invited to hear first hand about these developments in Brazil and to meet these Brazilian peers at a special event on Wednesday, September 5.
